Bakker & Partners was founded in 1999 by Eric Bakker. His Jobbrokers' philosophy brought some fresh air into the world of search and selection. At first the focus was on IT & Telecom, but through the years other specialized divisions followed: Finance, Sales & Marketing, Engineering & Supply Chain and Human Resources. Bakker & Partners' Jobbrokers have become a fixed value in the field of search, recruitment and selection of managers, executive staff and specialists. 

In 2001 IQ Consult was founded by Karen Breugelmans. IQ Consult's activities involved HR projects, assessments, development centres and career transition. In 2009 it was decided that the activities of IQ Consult would be integrated in Bakker & Partners under the division Career Transition.
